Dmitry Vasilev was born in Odessa, Ukraine.
He graduated from Moscow State Horeographic Institute in 2011.
A year before his graduation Dmitry was invited to join the Kremlin Ballet. Vasilev debute in Corsaire at the Kremlin Ballet Theatre was successful enough to make him a soloist.
Dmitry Vasilev has joined the Russian Grand Ballet in 2013. Since then he has been touring the world, dancing principal roles in many countries, including Netherlands, Germany, France, China.
His repertoire includes Pas des Trois in the Swan Lake, Blue Bird in the Sleeping Beauty, Ivan in the Little Humpbacked Horse, Prince in the Cinderella, Basil in the Don Quixote, Jose in the Gloria Carmen, Lanquedem in Le Corsaire.
